There always is another point of view. Untold news, a different way of narrating a story. In this short workshop Alessandro Gandolfi will tell how to find photojournalist ideas and starting points, such as planning a new reportage and how to tell a story through images.

Alessandro Gandolfi was born in Parma, Italy, in 1970, he has been a photojournalist since 2001. His works have appeared in several Italian and International magazines (among them, National Geographic Italy, L’Espresso, La Repubblica delle Donne, Die Zeit, Mare, The Sunday Times Magazine, Le Monde, VSD) and his pictures featured in exhibitions organized in Rome by National Geographic in 2009, 2010 and 2011. A Philosophy graduate, Alessandro attended the prestigious Ifg School of Journalism in Urbino. Before working as a photojournalist, he contributed as a news reporter to La Repubblica, both in Milan and Rome editorial offices. He won the National Geographic’s Best Edit Award twice (in 2010 and 2011) with two features published in the Italian edition of the American magazine.
