Honorable Jury, ladies and gentlemen.
It is very special to accept this award in the very same country that my film had it’s world premiere and the starting point for sharing this story with the world. I share this honor with the many people in front and behind the camera that has offered their knowledge and talent so that I could make this film.
I couldn’t make a film about the truth of the hijackings in the Indian Ocean, because I don’t believe that truth exists. But I could make a film about seamen, pirates, CEOs and relatives. Because they do exist. In Denmark, in Italy and in the rest of the world.
It is with great humility that I accept this honor bestowed upon my film by the jury and the festival. Thank you.

the Jury has decided to give the Special Jury Award to Ana Guevara and Leticia Jorge’s Tanta Agua for staging an intimate story which takes us on a intimate journey through adolescence. The direction has a careful approach and a great sensibility.
Acabamos de enterarnos que Tanta Agua fue bien recibida en el festival y eso nos llena de alegría.
Filmarla fue un viaje en si mismo, donde tuvimos la suerte de contar con la compañía y la ayuda de un equipo y unos de actores que dieron todo de sí.
Esta noche nos gustaría dedicar este premio a Maximiliano Angelieri, gran amigo y músico, que compuso la banda sonora de la película desde su casa en Roma.
En nombre de todos ellos y en el nuestro propio, agradecemos al festival y festejamos con ustedes a la distancia. Un fuerte abrazo y muchas gracias.
