The cellist Erik Friedlander represents the versatile musician par excellence. In his long resume, experiences alongside the whole circle of New York from the 90s onwards (in particular in the groups of John Zorn), but also of Courtney Love, Mike Patton and Laurie Anderson. The “Throw a Glass” project flies from multi-thematic jazz pages to meditative and solemn oases, from expansive lyrical elegies to tumultuous Balkan and klezmer run-ups.
This concert is part of Centrodarte19, a project by the Student Art Center of the University of Padua.
