TRIP TO ITALY

That Sunday in May, at Carolina’s home, the hours are counted. On Monday there is the funeral of her companion, Mauro Secondari, a young worker who fell in the factory where three generations of inhabitants of their small community passed through, a few kilometers from the capital. Carolina is left alone, with the inability to express the pain she feels inside and a ten-year-old son. The child elaborates his mourning in his own way, just as Mauro’s father, a former worker full of remorse and witness of another era of factory conflicts.
