Mischievously self-assured Mára and somewhat eccentric Heduš set out into the frozen wastes in search of adventure – by car, naturally. Af ter all, Mára’s turning fifteen soon. A road movie about the flies that occasionally buzz around even in winter, and a story – before it ends at the police station – that tells of the elusive bond of boyhood friendship and the irrepressible desire to experience something, even if you don’t exactly know what.

Biography

Olmo Omerzu was born in 1984 in Ljubljana. During his studies at FAMU in Prague he directed several short films and a 40-minute feature The Second Act.
In 2011, Omerzu graduated with his feature debut A Night Too Young, a Czech-Slovenian co production. After the successful premiere in the Forum section of the 2012 Berlinale, the film was invited to numerous international festivals. In 2015, he finished his second feature Family Film, a co-production of five countries with the support of Media and Eurimages. The film premiered at San Sebastian IFF in New Directors Competiton.
